about
A new song from the Kosmobarons will please all fans of doom metal and Lovecraft's works
We are back, but what has changed? First of all, the music is heavier compared to previous releases. Moments are darker. If then, in 2018-2019, the main inspirations were psychedelic rock, a variety of neo-prog and a little bit of doom metal, now doom metal is almost at the head, along with prog metal and other experimental metal genres.
Thus, the impetus for writing the new song (and the return of the band in general) was such a band as Dream Theater. You shouldn't expect such "shredding". No, it's more about the construction of the song: interesting harmonies and chords.
As for the textual component, here we implemented the idea of the underwater world theme that we conceived long time ago. The main inspiration was the world of the video game Bioshock and also a bit of Lovecraftian. This story will be about the temptation to take a step into the unknown. A step into the abyss.
lyrics
____
Can you hear me?
I am calling you from another world.
Can you see me?
In the reflection of the ether.
Hear me!
Forget your fear, surrender to the call.
Behold me!
In the darkness of the night, dancing with emptiness.
That voice was in me,
And my body was a temple.
It called me to itself,
Into the ocean's embrace.
Wake up, it's time!
Open your eyes, break the shackles.
You are so old
But a soul longs for freedom
He looked at me
And he called a his universe
I stepped into the water
And the world vanished in an instant.
